In March, the best-selling European electric vehicle in the Korean import car market was the ‘Volvo EX30’.

“Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 8th that its next-generation electric sports utility vehicle (SUV), the EX30, reached sales of 478 units in March, ranking first in European brand electric vehicle sales in the domestic imported car market.”

“According to data from the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA), the Volvo EX30 sold a remarkable 478 units, a 239-fold increase from the previous month, making it the best-selling European brand electric vehicle.”

“The Volvo EX30 was followed by the Volkswagen ID.4 (407 units), Audi Q4 45 e-tron (362 units), Polestar 4 (307 units), and BMW iX3 (138 units) in March domestic sales.”

“A representative from Volvo Korea stated, ‘The EX30, which is showing a unique presence in the competitive domestic electric vehicle market, has established itself as a new global bestselling model, having achieved the top sales record for premium brand electric vehicles in the European market last year, after debuting globally in 2024.'”

“Meanwhile, the EX30 sold domestically is launched at the world’s lowest price, over 20 million won cheaper compared to major global markets like Sweden, Germany, and the UK. With subsidies applied, it can be purchased at just over the low 40 million won range, garnering significant attention for its price competitiveness.”
