Jung-gu in Seoul has partnered with the National Jeongdong Theater to provide cultural experiences for single-person households in the area.

On the 3rd, Jung-gu announced that it had signed a business agreement with Jeongdong Theater to promote cultural exchange for single-person households. Through this agreement, Jeongdong Theater will offer free or discounted performance tickets to single-person households in Jung-gu. Meanwhile, Jung-gu will actively communicate with these households and support them by promoting the theater’s performance information and encouraging participation.

The first distribution of seats following the agreement will be for the traditional performance ‘Gwangdae,’ with a total of 40 seats to be offered to single-person households in Jung-gu in February. Jeongdong Theater’s representative, Jeong Sung-sook, expressed that sharing tickets with single-person households in Jung-gu during last Christmas’s performance was very rewarding and led to regular support. She hopes the theater becomes a place of cultural enjoyment for residents through this agreement.

Kim Gil-seong, the mayor of Jung-gu, expressed deep gratitude to the National Jeongdong Theater for willingly participating for the sake of local residents. He hopes that this agreement will provide an opportunity for single-person households and the culturally marginalized in Jung-gu to enjoy a more diverse range of cultural experiences.
