“I want to try this car”… 16,000 people flock within two weeks of launch.

**Volvo EX30 Sells Out Initial Stock…Official Deliveries Begin March 5**

Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 19th that their next-generation premium electric SUV, the Volvo EX30, released this month, will begin official deliveries in March. The announcement came as more than 16,000 test drive applications were received just two weeks after the official launch.

The EX30, designed to democratize premium electric cars, made a successful debut last year, selling about 100,000 units worldwide (98,065 units) and securing the top spot in premium electric car sales in Europe with 78,032 units, excluding dedicated electric car brands and ranking third including Tesla.

The model features a single motor extended range powertrain with rear-wheel drive, offering 272 horsepower and enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.3 seconds, enhancing the driving experience. Volvo’s new standard safety technology, “Safe Space Technology,” is included, ensuring flagship-level safety, which earned it the highest rating from Euro NCAP last year.

Lee Yoon-mo, CEO of Volvo Cars Korea, commented, “We are experiencing the high interest in the Volvo EX30, with over 16,000 customers applying for a test drive and the initial batch of 500 units selling out right after launch. Volvo Cars Korea will continue efforts to deliver the Swedish premium electric car EX30 quickly to more Korean customers.”

The Volvo EX30 is available in two trims, Core and Ultra, with prices set at 47.55 million KRW and 51.83 million KRW respectively (post eco-friendly tax benefits, excluding grants). With national and local subsidies for electric vehicles, the purchase price can start in the low 40 million KRW range.
