Hyundai Ioniq 5 N-Line Outperforms Volkswagen in Leading German Magazine Evaluation

“Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N Line has been recognized for its excellent product competitiveness by surpassing Volkswagen’s ID.4 GTX in the electric vehicle comparison evaluation by the influential German automobile magazine ‘Auto Bild’.”

“Hyundai announced on the 6th that the Ioniq 5 N Line received a total score of 584, surpassing the ID.4 GTX, which scored 580, by earning high scores in four categories: body, powertrain, eco-friendliness, and economy.”

“The recent comparison evaluation featured in Auto Bild’s latest issue assessed the Ioniq 5 N Line and Volkswagen ID.4 GTX across seven categories: body, convenience, powertrain, driving performance, connectivity, eco-friendliness, and economy. Auto Bild, a highly trusted car magazine in Germany, provides evaluation results that serve as a consideration for not only German but also European consumers when purchasing vehicles.”

“The Ioniq 5 first scored 577 points, 14 points higher than the ID.4, in Auto Bild’s comparison evaluation conducted in 2021 when the vehicle was first released. This year’s evaluation, which featured the 2024 improved model of the Ioniq 5, again surpassed the ID.4, further proving the excellent product competitiveness of Hyundai’s first dedicated electric vehicle.”

“The Ioniq 5 N Line received good scores in the body category, including interior space and openness, proving the advantages of ample internal space achieved through the long wheelbase of the E-GMP, its dedicated electric vehicle platform. It also scored highly in powertrain for charging and initial acceleration performance. In eco-friendliness and economy, it was rated higher than the ID.4 GTX in environmental technology and aspects such as residual value and warranty.”

“A Hyundai representative said, ‘We are pleased that the excellent product competitiveness of Hyundai’s first dedicated electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, has been recognized once again through this evaluation. We will continue to ensure that customers experience superior electrification technology through a diverse electric vehicle lineup, including the Ioniq 5.'”

“Based on its outstanding product quality, the Ioniq 5 has won prestigious automobile awards worldwide, including ‘2022 World Car of the Year’, ‘2022 UK Car of the Year’, and ‘2022 Germany Car of the Year’.”
