Honda Odyssey, Partial Update After 4 Years… Price Increased by 2.4 Million Won to 62.9 Million Won
Honda Korea announced on the 27th that it has officially launched the “2025 New Odyssey,” a family minivan, and has begun full-scale sales. Since its first release in 1994, the Honda Odyssey, based on the concept of providing a “comfortable, safe, and enjoyable space for families,” has sold nearly 3 million units in the North American market, gaining worldwide popularity.
The new Odyssey offers a differentiated driving experience with top-tier safety, space utilization, powerful performance, and various convenience features for driving enjoyment. The price is 62.9 million won, which is 2.4 million won higher than the previous generation, although the increase has been minimized despite inflation and rising exchange rates.
Last January, the 2025 model was recognized as a true family minivan, winning the “Best Customer Value Award” in the minivan category by US News & World Report for the fifth consecutive year. The 2025 Odyssey returns as a partially updated model with modern changes to its interior and exterior design and upgraded convenience features.
The 2025 Odyssey has been refreshed with sportier styling suggesting an SUV, including a newly designed bumper, front grille with a black grille bar at the front, and rear features like a rear bumper with emphasized angular lines, black grille bar, smoky-toned tail lamps, and vertical reflectors.
Additionally, new 19-inch alloy wheels are applied, contrasting with the grand side character line to portray sportiness and sleekness.
For the interior, new perforated leather seats in a brown-black two-tone color deliver a modern yet comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The second-row Magic Slide seats can recline, move vertically and horizontally, detach, and fold, allowing for diverse seating arrangements based on passenger numbers and use.
The instrument panel includes a 7-inch TFT meter for better visibility and an upgraded 9-inch center display audio system compared to previous models. The new Odyssey comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The rear entertainment system (RES) above the second row has been fully upgraded. The monitor has grown to a class-leading 12.8 inches and supports full HD high resolution. Unlike previous models, customers can connect streaming devices and smart devices such as smartphones/tablets and headphones via the BYOD function to watch various OTT content like YouTube and Netflix, similar to a smart TV.
Features like CabinWatch™, which allows real-time monitoring of second and third-row passengers through the display screen, and CabinTalk™, where the first-row passenger’s voice can be heard through the speakers and headphones for the second and third rows, assist in smooth communication within the vehicle.
The 2025 Odyssey’s powertrain includes a 3.5L direct injection i-VTEC engine delivering a class-leading performance with a maximum output of 284 horsepower and a maximum torque of 36.2 kg·m.
Furthermore, it employs a variable cylinder management system for fuel efficiency by deactivating three cylinders in low-power situations, such as maintaining a constant speed or gradual acceleration. An electronically controlled 10-speed automatic transmission, idle stop, ECON mode, and shutter grille also contribute to fuel efficiency.
The advanced Honda SENSING driver assistance system features an improved Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with pedestrian detection, Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) system with lane departure warning (LDW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with low-speed follow, Auto High-Beam (AHB), and Blind Spot Information System (BSI).
