Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 18th that it held a completion ceremony for the ecological park (Colorful Life ECO Park) as part of the “Public-Private Partnership for Natural Environment Restoration and Biodiversity Promotion Project” with Asan City and the Korea Environment Preservation Association.
The ecological park is set to include a migratory bird habitat, bird observation areas, an ecological learning center, and an ecological garden. It aims to create a habitat environment for migratory birds as well as a complex ecological service space that integrates ecological experiences and education.
This project is part of an agreement for the restoration of the natural environment and promotion of biodiversity, signed in December last year by Hyundai Motor Company, Asan City, and the Korea Environment Preservation Association. It is significant in that it aims to restore damaged migratory bird habitats and create ecological learning spaces, establishing a healthy urban ecosystem and providing a sustainable environmental foundation for citizens and future generations.
Hyundai Motor’s Vice President of GPO, Kim Il-beom, stated, “Hyundai Motor Company has been continuously contemplating and practicing its responsibility towards the environment and future generations through ‘Hyundai Continue,'” and added, “We will actively participate in various social contribution activities for a better future, such as biodiversity, resource circulation, and carbon neutrality.”
Additionally, Hyundai Motor announced the global Creating Shared Value (CSV) initiative “Hyundai Continue” in January 2022, which focuses on three key areas: environment, mobility, and future generations. The company is carrying out a variety of activities both domestically and internationally.
