Seoul Auction announced on the 14th that it will conduct an art auction featuring 94 pieces worth approximately 6.1 billion won at its Gangnam Center on the 26th. A preview will be available from the 15th until the auction day.

In the modern and contemporary art section, Cheon Kyung-ja’s “Mimosa Scent” stands out. It is said that the yellow mimosa flower, which attracted the artist during her stay in Paris, held particular significance for her.

A large-scale 200-ho work by Lee Kang-so, “Untitled-91016,” adorned with the artist’s signature duck motif and characterized by fluid and dynamic brushstrokes, will also be auctioned. This piece is estimated to be worth 140 to 300 million won. Lee Ufan’s “With the Wind,” sized 150-ho, is also presented, though its estimated value remains undisclosed.

Several iconic works by Andy Warhol, a pioneer of American pop art, will be on auction, catching the attention of many. The latter is designated as a tangible cultural heritage of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.
