[Sports Chosun’s Lee Woo-joo] On ‘You Quiz,’ Yang Sang-guk tears up remembering his late father.
On the 22nd, a preview of comedian Yang Sang-guk’s appearance was released at the end of the tvN show ‘You Quiz on the Block.’
Yang Sang-guk, who is experiencing a resurgence as the ‘Prince of Gimhae,’ has been in the spotlight for his resemblance to Charles, the Prince of Wales. He confidently appeared on ‘You Quiz’ in a prince fashion style.
Yoo Jae-suk mentioned Yang Sang-guk’s popularity by saying, “There’s no place you don’t show up on TV,” to which Yang Sang-guk humorously replied, “Are there any complaints from the public? I’ll stop this episode,” and walked off the stage. Yoo Jae-suk sighed, “I prefer natural reactions,” and Yang Sang-guk humorously retorted, “How can I act normal when I’m dressed like this?” provoking laughter.
Despite his current popularity, Yang Sang-guk revealed he doesn’t have a regular program. He lamented, “Once someone uses me, they never call me back,” and declared, “I’ll be loyal to my first regular director.”
Additionally, Yang Sang-guk shared a heartfelt story about his late father. His father, who suffered from a stroke, passed away suddenly in 2022 following a COVID-19 infection. Due to the nature of his death, he couldn’t even be dressed in a traditional burial shroud. Yang Sang-guk expressed his sorrow, saying, “It hurts my heart that he was wrapped in a plastic bag,” as he teared up thinking about his father.
The episode featuring comedian Yang Sang-guk on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ will air on the 29th.
