“Without any study abroad experience,” Kim Soo-min admitted to a U.S. law school and receives a 70 million won scholarship.

The former announcer Kim Soo-min shared an update after being accepted into law school. On the 30th, Kim Soo-min mentioned on her personal account, “The interview results for the full scholarship at UCLA Law School came out. I have received a $50,000 scholarship (approximately 71 million KRW), which covers almost all the tuition fees.”

Kim expressed her astonishment, saying, “I don’t know how such an opportunity came to me as a foreigner with no study abroad experience. It seems to be thanks to those who prayed for me. Or maybe it’s the encouragement my persistence received. Or perhaps it’s the luck that my kids brought to cheer me on.”

She added, “I never imagined a school scholarship, so I’m happier than when I heard about my acceptance.” Kim also said, “I’m leaving this summer. I will do well in my one-year master’s program and return.”

Earlier this month, Kim Soo-min announced her acceptance into UCLA Law School.

Meanwhile, in 2018, Kim Soo-min joined SBS as an announcer at the age of 21. At that time, she gained attention as the youngest SBS announcer. However, Kim unexpectedly resigned in 2021 and announced her marriage to a prosecutor 5 years her senior in March 2022. Later that year, in December, she gave birth to a son, and in January last year, she welcomed a daughter.
