[OSEN=Yu Su-yeon reporter] Tsu Yang’s lawyer Kim Tae-yeon countered YouTuber Gujeok’s claims and expressed his position.
On the broadcast of CBS’ ‘Kim Hyun-jung’s News Show’ on the 16th, a phone call with lawyer Kim Tae-yeon was connected.
Earlier that day, lawyer Kim explained, “Tsu Yang is going through a very difficult time. He is struggling so much that it is even difficult for me to contact him directly, and he is in a situation where he can hardly live his daily life.”
Previously, on the 11th, a YouTube channel known as ‘Lecca Union’ raised suspicions that YouTubers, under the name of Gujeok, extorted millions of won by threatening to expose Tsu Yang’s past. Tsu Yang confessed on a live broadcast that he had been threatened, assaulted, and exploited by his ex-boyfriend and agency CEO A for 4 out of 5 years of their relationship.
In the process, YouTuber Gujeok was accused of extorting money by threatening Tsu Yang under the guise of revealing his past. Tsu Yang also filed a lawsuit against Gujeok. Gujeok voluntarily appeared at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office on the 15th, claiming, “It was Tsu Yang’s side that first requested services for risk management, and we had no choice but to accept the contract.”.
Regarding this, lawyer Kim revealed that the Lecca YouTubers first contacted Tsu Yang in February last year and said, “They contacted Tsu Yang to expose his personal life and then extorted money when they met separately. It is true that there was a demand for money. However, it has been confirmed that there was no direct contact from Karakura in this lawsuit, and the official lawsuit is against Gujeok and Jeong Gukjin.”
In particular, lawyer Kim emphasized, “There is no fact of coercion or threats, and it was Tsu Yang’s side that requested the services,” regarding Gujeok’s claim. “From what I know, it seems that the facts are quite different. It makes me wonder if there was a reason for Tsu Yang’s side to request blocking other YouTubers first, and I have doubts about how many of those YouTubers actually existed.”
Finally, he added, “We also have unpublished evidence and will try to prove it with as much evidence as possible. It’s hard to draw a firm conclusion, but it doesn’t seem easy to say that there was no coercion or intimidation at all, as Gujeok claimed.”
