[Mydaily = Reporter Park Seo-yeon] Actress Park Ji-ah has passed away while battling a cerebral infarction.
On the 30th, her agency, Billions, announced, “We regret to deliver this heartbreaking news. Park Ji-ah passed away at the age of 52 due to a cerebral infarction at 2:50 a.m. today.”
They continued, “We will forever remember the passion of the late Park Ji-ah, who loved acting until the end,” and expressed their deep condolences and wishes for her eternal peace.
Park Ji-ah made her debut in the film ‘The Coast’ in 2002. In the Netflix original series ‘The Glory’ in 2022 and 2023, she portrayed the role of Jung Mi-hee, the mother of Moon Dong-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo), leaving a strong impression with her powerful acting. Her recent work was the film ‘Highjacking,’ which was released in June.
The late actress’s mortuary is set up in room 2 at Asan Hospital, and the funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. on October 2.
