A female YouTuber in her 20s with 200,000 subscribers, referred to as A, has come forward to reveal that she was a victim of sexual assault. On November 2nd, the YouTuber released a video titled “It took a long time to talk about this,” where she started by saying, “I want to talk about the events that have been happening to me since last year. Hiding this for a year and a half was very difficult.”
A disclosed the reason for her revelation, explaining, “Recently, a subscriber contacted me, saying they experienced the exact same sexual crime as I did. It made me realize that many women are facing sexual crimes.” She expressed her desire to create videos that document the healing process after such trauma.
She is currently involved in legal proceedings related to the sexual assault incident. A expressed her frustration with the duration of the lawsuit, saying, “It’s not something that ends overnight. It’s been a year and a half and still hasn’t ended.” She also recounted a challenging moment during the investigation when police questioned her delay in reporting the incident, highlighting the difficulties in immediate reporting, even though she did contact the authorities the day after the assault.
In the video’s description, she wrote, “For the past year and a half, I’ve lived while hiding the most painful incident of my life even from my closest friends. I always tried to smile and act strong, but it was incredibly hard.” She chose to comfort others who have suffered similar experiences by saying, “You’re not the only one going through this. Talking about it with others can help lighten your burden.”
