Taiwanese entertainer Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband faced backlash after leaving a comment saying “I miss my wife so much” on a video they appeared in together 7 years ago.

(Seoul=News1) Reporter Sobomi = Taiwanese actress Xu Xiyuan (Seo Hee-won), the wife of Clone’s Koo Jun-yup (55), has passed away. Her ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, a second-generation chaebol, left a comment saying, “I miss my wife so much,” which drew criticism.

According to Taiwanese media ET Today, Wang Xiaofei received news of Xu Xiyuan’s death while traveling in Thailand. On the 3rd, he entered Taiwan with his current wife.

Afterward, Wang changed his SNS profile picture to black and appeared at the Taiwanese airport, where he clasped his hands and bowed at a 90-degree angle, asking journalists to write good things about her. His eyes were red and swollen, as if he had been crying.

About 30 minutes after returning home from the airport, it was reported that Wang took a solo walk in the rain.

Moreover, Wang left a comment on a video from the 2018 Chinese program “Happiness Trio,” in which they both appeared, saying, “Honey, I miss you so much.” He later deleted the comment and rephrased it to “I miss you. So much,” possibly finding the term “honey” inappropriate.

The comment quickly spread online, and local netizens did not sympathize with Wang at all. It is known that after divorcing Xu Xiyuan, he demanded a reconciliation but suddenly remarried to a new girlfriend named Mandy. As a result, netizens harshly criticized him, saying, “You must be crazy,” “Stop acting,” “What will your current wife think?” “Is your heart towards the deceased genuine?” “Stop pretending to be affectionate all of a sudden.”

Meanwhile, Wang Xiaofei and Xu Xiyuan married in 2011 and had a son and a daughter. Rumors of discord arose in 2019, ultimately leading to their divorce in 2021. Xu Xiyuan was given custody of the two children. However, the two have been engaged in legal disputes over alimony and property division after their divorce.

During the divorce process, Wang promised to pay Xu alimony and living expenses, but he stopped as soon as Xu remarried Koo Jun-yup. Consequently, Xu filed for compulsory execution in court, claiming she did not receive over 217 million KRW in 2023, leading the court to decide on seizing Wang’s assets in Taiwan.

Xu Xiyuan passed away on February 2nd due to pneumonia accompanied by the flu during a family trip to Japan. Her family completed the cremation procedures in Japan. According to Taiwanese media, Koo Jun-yup is expected to enter Taiwan with his wife’s ashes on the 6th.
