Korean singer Sung Si-kyung, aged 46, has parted ways with his manager of over 10 years, which has led to significant financial losses. As recently investigated by MyDaily on the 3rd, it was confirmed that the separation resulted in work-related financial damages for Sung Si-kyung.
The manager had been in charge of practical operations involving Sung Si-kyung’s performances, broadcasts, advertisements, and events. Having moved from the previous agency together with Sung Si-kyung, they worked well together within a typical working relationship. However, this manager recently caused work-related issues, resulting in financial damages not only to Sung Si-kyung but also to external contractors and associates related to him. The exact amount of the damages has not been disclosed but is understood to be considerable. Both Sung Si-kyung and his agency became aware of these issues belatedly, and they immediately terminated all business relations with the manager, who has now left the company.
SK Resource, Sung Si-kyung’s agency, stated, “Sung Si-kyung is deeply saddened by this incident involving a manager he has trusted and worked with for a long time,” highlighting that the agency could not overlook the betrayal of trust, leading to the termination of all business relations with the manager, who is now no longer employed there.
Attempts to contact the manager have so far been unsuccessful.
