[“Dolsing” Season 22’s Youngja and Kwangsoo have announced a surprise pregnancy: “I have a husband and a baby now, due in March next year.”]
[Sporst Chosun’s Kim Sohee reports] Youngja and Kwangsoo, who met on ENA·SBS Plus’s “I Am Solo”, have announced their pregnancy news.
Youngja of Season 22 shared a lengthy post on her account on the 7th, saying, “Congratulations. Baby Kim Toma is expected to arrive in March next year.”
She added, “Our couple started preparing for pregnancy by taking folic acid and exercising from February, and after our trip to Hawaii in May, we received good news. A baby has come to us,” she announced surprised.
She continued, “At one point, I thought my life was about helping people give birth healthily…thinking there would be no child of my own. But now, I have a husband and a child. I’m really glad I went on ‘I Am Solo’,” she expressed her emotional feelings.
Youngja also candidly shared about her early pregnancy symptoms, “The reason I haven’t been posting on Story and Feed lately is because I’ve been surviving through nausea, eating aversions, and currently experiencing vomiting (7~8 times a day),” she said, “It’s nothing like the ‘Ugh…’ scenes in dramas. It feels like magma rising up my throat. I’ve even survived on IV drips,” sharing her pregnancy struggles.
She also cautiously shared her past experience of a miscarriage, “Right before Kim Toma, we lost a little friend, so I’m comforted by the severe nausea I’m currently experiencing, thinking it’s a sign of Kim Toma’s well-being,” she shared her tender thoughts.
Regarding the unborn baby’s nickname “Kim Toma,” she explained, “We derived the name from Tomato + Red Horse (next year being the year of the Red Horse).”
Youngja expressed affection for her husband Kwangsoo as well, “He’s already talking to my belly. Although I tell him ‘It’s only an outer ear for now,’ I hope Toma grows and develops smoothly during the 40 weeks,” she conveyed.
She concluded by thanking everyone who supported them, “Thanks to those who told us that seeing turtles in Hawaii leads to babies, to those who cheered us on after our honeymoon, and to the members who support me during classes. I feel like I’m living the most comfortable, happy, and worry-free days of my life now,” she expressed gratitude.
Meanwhile, Youngja and Kwangsoo from Season 22 revealed their marriage registration in May. They gained attention as a couple who succeeded in remarrying on the special “divorced singles” episode of ‘I Am Solo’. They held a traditional wedding ceremony in October.
