[Exclusive] Actor Shin Hyun-jun is deeply saddened by the news of Kim Soo-mi’s passing.
According to the Seoul Seocho Police Station on the 25th, Kim Soo-mi suffered a cardiac arrest and was transported to Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in Seocho District around 8 AM, where she was pronounced dead. She was 75 years old.
Back in May, Kim Soo-mi had been hospitalized at Hanyang University Hospital due to exhaustion and temporarily paused her activities. At the time, her schedule was overwhelmed with performances and broadcasts, leading to accumulated fatigue and the need for rest. Recently, she had resumed activities, including appearances on home shopping programs.
Shin Hyun-jun, who had a special relationship with Kim Soo-mi, was deeply affected by the news of her passing. In a phone call with OSEN, he was overwhelmed with emotion and could not speak, expressing his profound sorrow.
Kim Soo-mi made her debut in 1971 as part of MBC’s third recruitment of talents.
