Clone member Koo Jun-yeop’s wife, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu (Xu Xiyuan), reportedly died from sepsis rather than influenza and pneumonia. It is said that pneumonia led to sepsis, resulting in her death just four days after contracting the flu.
According to Taiwan’s local media, ET Today, Barbie Hsu, who passed away on the 3rd, developed severe coughing symptoms which progressed to pneumonia 1-2 days after arriving in Japan, subsequently leading to a rapid decline in her health.
Despite being urgently transported to the hospital, Barbie Hsu died before receiving ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) treatment. The cause of death recorded by the doctor was sepsis, not pneumonia, the outlet reported. A Tokyo-based source highlighted that her cause of death was indeed sepsis and not pneumonia.
