“Part-timer is Lee Sang-min”… Lee Dong-gun’s Jeju Cafe, with a ‘2 billion loan’, becomes a big hit with ‘open run’

Actor Lee Dong-gun’s newly opened café in Jeju is drawing significant attention from its first day. On the 14th, the official social media account of Lee Dong-gun’s café in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, posted a message expressing gratitude for the crowd waiting on the opening day, describing the situation as an “open run.”

The café is described as a space offering rest and relaxation, with a promise to welcome visitors seeking a retreat. The café invites guests to experience a setting with an oasis vibe, freshly brewed sand coffee, and desserts.

Videos showcasing the café’s interior have been released, highlighting its unique remodel from a residential house, including features like a pond, pink structures, and various exotic decorations.

Images circulating on social media capture Lee Dong-gun’s transformation into a barista, along with broadcaster Lee Sang-min, known for co-starring in the SBS variety show “My Ugly Duckling,” supporting the café by working part-time.

Previously, in an episode of “My Ugly Duckling” last year, Lee Dong-gun expressed his wish to start a café, revealing that he had taken out a bank loan of approximately 200 million KRW to pursue this dream.

Lee Dong-gun debuted as a singer in 1998 and gained fame through dramas such as “Lovers in Paris” and “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop.” He married actress Jo Yoon-hee in 2017, had a daughter named Roa in December of that year, but divorced in 2020.
