Park Yoochun, Unrecognizably Changed ‘Drunken’ Recent Status… Aftermath of Drug Use is Frightening

[Sports Chosun’s Baek Ji-eun] Shocking recent photos of Park Yoochun have been revealed.

On the 25th, Park Yoochun posted a photo on his account with the caption “Fukuoka! Again tomorrow.” In the released photo, he is seen visiting a hot pot restaurant in Japan with his acquaintances, including his brother Park Yoo-hwan. He is visibly inebriated with a flushed face, smiling brightly and forming a ‘V’ sign.

However, possibly due to the influence of alcohol, his appearance looked vastly different from his “Micky Yoochun” days, surprising netizens.

In 2019, Park Yoochun was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a two-year suspended sentence for using methamphetamine with his former fiancée Hwang Hana.

Park Yoochun held a tearful press conference saying, “If I did drugs, I would retire from the entertainment industry,” but he subsequently reversed his stance and resumed activities mainly in Japan and Thailand, which drew heavy criticism.

Despite this, Park Yoochun continued to have a troubled streak. In 2021, he became embroiled in a dispute over his exclusive contract with his agency, Ricielo. The agency claimed that Park Yoochun used the company credit card for personal entertainment and living expenses. It was alleged that he spent company funds on luxury bags for his girlfriend, diverted tens of millions of company funds for gaming, and incurred a KRW 100 million bill for services at entertainment establishments that the company paid off.

Park Yoochun argued that the contract with Ricielo was terminated due to embezzlement by its representative, but Ricielo countered by filing a lawsuit, claiming that they had even helped him pay off personal debts amounting to KRW 2 billion, and accused him of defaming the company by spreading false information.

Separately, Park Yoochun was ordered to pay KRW 500 million for breaching an exclusive contract with Have Fun Together by independently conducting entertainment activities with Ricielo.

Additionally, he was listed as a habitual delinquent taxpayer for failing to pay taxes amounting to a total of KRW 409 million from five cases, including capital gains tax from 2016. Amidst these controversies, he stirred up further issues by holding a dinner show priced at KRW 460,000 per seat in 2023. Rumors also surfaced regarding his romance with a wealthy individual from Thailand intending to get married, as well as a subsequent breakup.

As a result, domestic public opinion on Park Yoochun has turned irreversibly negative, yet he continues to be active, particularly in Japan.
