Actor Heo Yi-jae (37) has revealed a dramatically changed appearance. On the 2nd, a video titled “Thank you for appearing” was posted on actor Ji Dae-han’s YouTube channel “Byungjin Bro.” This video included a glimpse into the waiting room during the stage greeting held on November 30th to mark the re-release of the film “Sunflower” (directed by Kang Seok-beom). “Sunflower,” originally released in November 2006, is considered a classic, remaining a favorite “life movie” among the public even 18 years later. It left numerous memorable lines such as “Did you feel relieved only after taking it all?”, “Byungjin (played by Ji Dae-han), get out if you don’t want to die,” and “Oh Tae-shik (played by Kim Rae-won) has returned.”
Heo Yi-jae made headlines in 2021 when she exposed an incident involving a male actor on the YouTube channel “WayLand,” run by former Crayon Pop member Way. She claimed that the decisive reason for her retirement was due to a married male actor who is “currently living well.” During a past drama production, she alleged that this actor, her co-star, demanded to sleep with her and subjected her to abusive language and insults. Her indiscriminate revelation, lacking specific subjects, led to unintended victims and garnered strong criticism for her imprudent remarks.
Later, Heo Yi-jae apologized, saying, “I called the actor who was wrongly mentioned because of me and conveyed my apology. I want to apologize to those who are disappointed in me for not having the courage to fight more boldly.”
