Peter Green, the actor known for films like “Pulp Fiction” and “The Mask,” was found dead and covered in blood last week in his apartment, with reports indicating multiple injuries on his body. According to TMZ, a police official stated that while Green had injuries, the cause has not yet been determined. The New York coroner’s office has not released an official cause of death.
Green was discovered facedown in his home in the Lower East Side of Manhattan on December 12, with facial injuries. Neighbors described the scene as “horrific, filled with blood.”
An enigmatic note was also found at the scene, stating, “I’m still a Westie,” a reference to the Irish gang “Westies” active in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen in the 1970s.
Green had previously spoken openly about his struggles with drug addiction and suicide attempts. However, his former manager, Greg Edwards, mentioned that Green showed no such signs before his death. Edwards emphasized that Green was in good spirits just days earlier and was planning to celebrate New Year’s Eve with friends.
Scum Dust, an actor and musician, noted that Green, along with friends like Danny Diablo and a graffiti artist, had made plans to hire a stretch limousine for bar and restaurant hopping on New Year’s Eve, suggesting he wasn’t in a suicidal state.
Peter Green was notable for his intense roles in movies such as “Pulp Fiction,” where he played the character Zed, as well as “The Mask” and “Training Day.” He was 60 years old.
