Lee Soo-ji? No, it’s really Psy… Tak Hyun-min makes a sudden announcement amidst the controversy over the performers for the 80th Liberation Day Eve event.

“It’s not Lee Su-ji, it’s really Psy.”

In relation to the lineup for the Liberation Day 80th Anniversary Eve celebration on the 14th, Tak Hyun-min, the event planning advisor to the Speaker of the National Assembly who is preparing the event, posted a humorous announcement.

On August 1, Advisor Tak stated on his social media that “there are people asking for clarification on whether it is PSY or ‘Lee Su-ji’ appearing among the performers for the eve event.” He confirmed, “It is PSY.”

On July 31, the lineup for the eve celebration was revealed, including Kang San-ae Band, singer Gummy, Dynamic Duo, Mad Clown, MaetriX Kim Hyung-seok, 10cm (Kwon Jung-yeol), Ali, Crying Nut, Paul Kim, PSY, and the group VIVIZ.

After the announcement, some fans jokingly suggested that comedian Lee Su-ji, known for her resemblance to Psy, might be performing instead. Lee Su-ji, who has been noted for her resemblance to Psy since her debut, performed a Psy cosplay at the 2015 Entertainment Awards and the Gag Concert Welcome Back Show, and even opened Psy’s concert this year, showcasing a high synchronization rate.

The Liberation Day 80th Anniversary Eve celebration will take place on August 14 at the National Assembly Central Lawn.
