“Kim Yoon-ah, afflicted with ‘neurological paralysis,’ eventually took to the stage for her final performance.”

Singer Kim Yoon-ah shared an update with a bright smile on stage.

On the 6th, Kim Yoon-ah posted on her social media account, “Finally, this coming week!!!! My solo concert ‘April is the Cruelest Month’ will be held for the last time in a while! To you who want to shake off the darkness within,” along with a photo.

In the revealed photo, Kim Yoon-ah can be seen smiling. The public reacted with comments like “I’m so excited to think I’ll be seeing you soon,” “I’ll be rushing to the concert,” and “Stay healthy and sing a lot for a long time.”

Previously, in September last year on SBS’s ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny,’ Kim Yoon-ah shared her health struggles, saying, “I have congenital immune deficiency and two specific measures are significantly low, so I receive a monthly intravenous injection of antibodies collected from healthy adults.”

She further disclosed, “I went through a period of not being able to sleep and suffering from heavy duties, which led to cranial nerve palsy. My immune system was weakened.” She added, “I suffered severe health issues with paralysis in my facial motor nerves, loss of taste, smell, hearing, and even issues with the vagus nerve, which still have aftereffects.”

Her condition was serious. Kim Yoon-ah explained, “I have vocal disabilities and different temperature sensations on my face. I have to make an effort to move the left side of my face to show expressions. If I don’t build muscles through exercise while singing, mistakes can occur due to vocal disabilities.” She emphasized, “The immune injection is not a fundamental cure, so maintaining a good lifestyle is the only solution. The most important things are adequate sleep, eating good food made with seasonal ingredients, and regular exercise. I’m working hard to stay fit.”

On the 5th, she shared her improved condition, saying, “Whether it’s due to the aftereffects of treatment, low blood pressure, or the blessing of relief, I’ve had a 21-hour sleep relay over two days. I finally feel more alert now.” She added, “Maintaining daily life is not a given, but precious. I can now work on my music and promote my concert.”
