Actor Kim Soo-mi (real name Kim Young-ok) has passed away at the age of 75. A representative from Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital told Star News on the 25th that “Ms. Kim Soo-mi passed away this morning (25th).” According to the representative, Kim Soo-mi was transported to the emergency room of Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital by a 119 emergency vehicle this morning but ultimately passed away. The representative added, “The funeral hall is planned to be set up at another hospital.”

Previously, in May, Kim Soo-mi had been hospitalized due to exhaustion and halted her activities. In August, during a home shopping broadcast, she was seen trembling and speaking with slurred words, leading to rumors about her health. At that time, Kim Soo-mi explained in a phone interview with Star News that “the pronunciation is a bit off due to implants” and clarified, “I’m in good health. There’s nothing (particularly) uncomfortable.”

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-mi passionately played the role of the protagonist Bong-ran in the musical ‘Mom in the Home’ from April 6 to 26. She also took part in various activities, appearing in the tvN STORY variety program ‘The Chairman’s People’ and KBS 2TV’s variety program ‘Boss in the Mirror,’ among others.
