JYP: “False claims about VCHA KG members being ‘abused and attempting extreme choices’ – We will take all necessary actions” (Full statement)

JYP Entertainment has announced its stance regarding the withdrawal of VCHA member KG. On the 9th, JYP stated, “KG left the group accommodation in May and requested discussions through a legal representative. In response, we temporarily suspended VCHA’s future activities and have been exploring various solutions with KG’s representative. However, we recently have not received any response from KG’s side, and our representative has been waiting for their reply.”

JYP continued, “It is very regrettable that in such a situation, KG chose to publicly announce false and exaggerated information externally and opted for the lawsuit route. This is causing significant damage to the other members of VCHA, who are actively preparing for an album release and other plans for the first half of 2025, as well as to our company. We plan to take all necessary measures to prevent further harm to VCHA’s other members and our company due to this matter.”

On the 8th, KG claimed on her account that she decided to leave the team after experiencing abuse and unfair treatment from some JYP staff members and alleged that some members even attempted extreme actions, which has caused a shock.

Below is JYP’s official statement.

Hello, this is JYP USA.

We are providing our position regarding Kiera Grace Madder’s (KG) lawsuit and her statements made on social media.

In May, KG requested discussions through a legal representative after leaving the group accommodation. In response, we temporarily suspended VCHA’s future activity plans and have been engaging in discussions to explore various solutions with KG’s representative. However, we recently haven’t received a reply on the discussion matters from KG’s side, and our representative has been waiting for a response.

In this situation, it is very regrettable that KG chose to publicly announce false and exaggerated information and opted to pursue a lawsuit. This is causing significant damage to the other members of VCHA, who are actively preparing for an album release and other plans for the first half of 2025, as well as to our company.

We inform you that we will take all the necessary measures to prevent further damage to VCHA’s other members and our company due to this matter.

Thank you.

Sincerely, JYP USA
