“Jung Hyung-don♥” Han Yu-ra experiences a tense night in Hawaii due to a tsunami: “Never experienced this before… staying safe at home.”

[OSEN=Choi I-jung] Han Yu-ra, the wife of broadcaster Jung Hyung-don and a former TV writer, shared the situation when a tsunami warning was issued in Hawaii.

On the 31st, Han Yu-ra posted on her Instagram story with a photo of the ocean, saying, “The park is completely empty, the yachts have gone far out to sea, and the shops and hotels have closed. This is the first time I’ve experienced something like this in Hawaii, but I spent last night calming myself by making kimchi pancakes at home.”

The photo showed the blue expanse of the Hawaiian ocean, but Han Yu-ra’s words conveyed the urgency of the situation at that time. Recently, a tsunami warning was issued around Hawaii due to an underwater earthquake, causing residents and tourists to evacuate and tension to rise.

Han Yu-ra reassured her fans by saying, “I stayed calm at home and watched the situation,” which brought comfort to many. Netizens responded with comments like “Glad you’re safe,” “It must have been a truly surprising situation,” and “Health and safety are the utmost priorities,” expressing their concern and support.

Previously, Han Yu-ra had captured and uploaded an emergency disaster text message sent by the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency to warn about the tsunami threat.

Reflecting on this, Han Yu-ra stated, “The ocean is still calm and peaceful,” but added, “I’ve postponed any plans for now. I hope nothing else happens.”

Meanwhile, Han Yu-ra transitioned from being an advertising model and actress to a broadcasting writer, where she met Jung Hyung-don, a participant in a program she worked on. They got married in 2009 and have twin daughters. She resides in Hawaii with their children, while Jung Hyung-don commutes between Korea and Hawaii.
