Jin Tae-hyun received a complaint for going shirtless while running, saying “There’s no legal restriction; please create one.”

Actor Jin Tae-hyun has expressed his opinion on the controversy over shirtless running. On the 25th, a video titled “Park Si-eun & Jin Tae-hyun’s Running Grand Plan: Let’s All Become One Part 1 Shirtless” was uploaded on the couple’s YouTube channel. The couple discussed the shirtless controversy that has arisen with the recent popularity of running.

Jin Tae-hyun mentioned, “There are two opinions. The first is ‘What’s wrong with going shirtless?’ and the second is ‘Do you really have to take it off?’ We understand and agree with both sides.” He added that he too has run shirtless on tracks or in parks during less busy times. He remarked that in the Korean rainy season or in Southeast Asian climates, functional clothing cannot perform effectively.

Park Si-eun shared her understanding by describing an incident where Jin took off his shirt, and it was as if water was pouring out non-stop, making it heavy. This made her understand why he ran shirtless as she found even lightweight clothes heavy when drenched in sweat during summer runs.

Jin Tae-hyun also recalled receiving complaints about running shirtless and mentioned that there’s no legal restriction against it. He suggested that those who prefer to run shirtless should carry several dry singlets.

Park Si-eun voiced her opinion on the need for legal regulation, suggesting that if the law specified rules regarding being shirtless, it would resolve the issue for both those who want to go shirtless and those who dislike it. Jin Tae-hyun agreed, hoping lawmakers could help by creating relevant laws.
