[OSEN=Kang Seo Jung] Broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo made a promise to a ‘268kg dieter’.
The December 12 episode of SBS’s ‘Wow! Really? Unbelievable’ featured a woman who recorded the highest weight for a Korean female at 268kg in the segment ‘Unbelievable Firsts’.
In an effort to overcome extreme obesity, she underwent a gastrectomy and successfully lost over 70kg through balanced nutrition intake.
However, she still faces challenges as her weight exceeds 180kg, making it impossible to measure with a regular scale. She struggles with daily activities like putting on socks or clipping her toenails due to her difficulty bending forward. Wherever she goes, she has to endure judgmental stares. The guests were moved to tears upon learning about the heartbreaking family circumstances that contributed to her weight gain, and they all cheered on her weight loss journey.
Baek Ji Young said, “You need motivation for dieting, right? If you reach a weight that fits size 88, I’ll make you an outfit. By then, you’ll be able to wear sneakers too.”
Guest Joo Won promised, “I will treat you to a healthy meal,” while Jun Hyun Moo made a special promise saying, “You know Chef Choi Hyun Seok does vegan dishes too, right? I will take you to that restaurant.”
Additionally, Kim Ho Young said, “I will invite you to a musical,” and finally, Jun Hyun Moo encouraged her, saying, “Keep working hard on your diet, don’t get too stressed, and stay fighting!”
