Former announcer and broadcaster Park Eun-young, who was once called ‘Little Roh Hyun-jung’, reminisced about meeting former announcer Roh Hyun-jung. On the November 11th broadcast of Channel A’s entertainment program ‘Best Friends Tokumentary: Four-person Table’, former KBS announcer, broadcaster, and entrepreneur Lee Jung-min invited her close friends, broadcaster Hyun Young, announcer Kang Su-jung, and Park Eun-young, for a chat.
In the broadcast, Hyun Young asked Kang Su-jung, Lee Jung-min, and Park Eun-young, “How many years did you work as an announcer?” To which Kang Su-jung replied, “I worked for five years,” and Lee Jung-min responded, “17 years,” adding that she had delved into both news and variety shows, including ‘Hi-Five’, ‘News Plaza’, ‘Secrets of Birth and Death’, and ‘Live Info Show’.
Hyun Young asked Lee Jung-min, who said her dream was to be an announcer since childhood, “Who was your role model?” Lee Jung-min named Kang Su-jung. Park Eun-young recalled, “When I was studying for the announcer exam, senior Kang Su-jung gave a lecture to media exam students. I went to listen and greeted her there.” However, Park Eun-young added, “My role model was senior Roh Hyun-jung,” bringing laughter.
Hyun Young remarked, “You do resemble former announcer Roh Hyun-jung,” and Lee Jung-min remembered Park Eun-young being famous as ‘Little Roh Hyun-jung’. Park Eun-young then recalled her final interview for the announcer position. She said, “When I entered the executive interview, as soon as I walked in, the interviewers said, ‘You really resemble her.’ When I introduced myself, they said, ‘Your voice is similar too.’ They might have needed someone to replace senior Roh Hyun-jung since she suddenly resigned.”
Park Eun-young continued, “I once met senior Roh Hyun-jung informally. She knew that I was called ‘Little Roh Hyun-jung’. She looked at me and said, ‘I’m prettier though,’ which made everyone laugh.” Former announcer Roh Hyun-jung joined KBS in 2003 as part of the open recruitment’s 29th batch. She gained popularity on the KBS2 entertainment program ‘Sang Sang Plus’. Later, in 2006, she married Jung Dae-sun, the third generation of the Hyundai Group, and left KBS. Currently, she has two children with Jung Dae-sun and draws attention whenever she appears at Hyundai events.
