On the 19th, the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. Like last year, actors Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon hosted the event together.

Particularly notable was the attendance of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin as a couple. Both were nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. Matching the interest, the couple graced the finale of the red carpet event before the awards ceremony. Hyun Bin appeared first in a navy suit with a bow tie and glasses, and Son Ye-jin followed, showcasing her figure in a halter-neck design with mithril embellishments and a mermaid line chassé skirt, reminiscent of a short haircut like the Hime cut.

During the main ceremony, the couple’s appearance together caught everyone’s attention. Hyun Bin was seated next to Son Ye-jin, who was sitting beside Lee Seong-min and Yum Hye-ran from the “Believer” team. The couple appeared repeatedly on the screen during the awards ceremony, from other recipients to their own wins.

What was especially surprising was their win as a couple. They not only both received the Cheongjuwon Popular Star Award but also each won Best Actor and Best Actress.

In the Cheongjuwon Popular Star Award category, the winners were Park Jin-young for “Hi-Five,” Hyun Bin for “Harbin,” Son Ye-jin for “Believers,” and Im Yoon-ah for “The Devil has Arrived.” Lee Je-hoon humorously commented, “This is the first time a couple has been shown together on stage like this. They look so good together,” eliciting laughter and cheers.

Son Ye-jin mirrored these sentiments, saying, “I don’t think I’ll forget this either. It’s an honor to receive the Popularity Award with my husband. Thank you to the organizers and fans for giving us unforgettable memories,” she smiled brightly. She also showed a spontaneous and loving pose alongside Hyun Bin, playfully flashing a ‘V’ sign with her fingers while standing close to him.

Regarding their awards as a couple, Hyun Bin expressed, “Receiving an award together like this feels much like when we won for the drama ‘Crash Landing on You.’ To be holding another award and be on stage together today makes me so happy and grateful.” Lee Je-hoon added with a playful comment, “So now at home, you’ll have two trophies placed side by side, I’m so envious,” drawing more laughter.

Additionally, when Hyun Bin received the Best Actor award for “Harbin,” he acknowledged Son Ye-jin seated in the audience by saying, “Yejin, my wife who gives me strength just by existing, and our son, I love you both very much and am so grateful.” In that touching moment, Son Ye-jin was caught on camera making a heart with her hands, adding warmth to the scene.

Following Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin won the Best Actress award for “Believers.” This marked her second Best Actress win at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, since her first for “My Wife Got Married.” After her announcement, Hyun Bin immediately stood up to warmly hug and pat her back, adding more warmth.

It’s noteworthy that “Believers” was her first screen comeback in seven years since “The Last Princess,” following her marriage to Hyun Bin and the birth of their son. In her acceptance speech, Son Ye-jin shared, “After getting married and becoming a mother, I’ve started to perceive a wider range of emotions and see the world differently.
