[Sports Chosun Online, Reporter Lee Ji-hyun] Actress Hwang Jung-eum has publicly criticized her ex-husband, attracting attention.
On the episode of the SBS Plus and E Channel co-produced variety show ‘Because I am Solo’ aired on the 5th, the daily lives of the two MCs, Shin Dong-yup and Hwang Jung-eum, as well as actresses Yoon Se-ah and Chae Rim, were revealed.
In the episode, Hwang Jung-eum shared parts of her solo life. Watching Yoon Se-ah’s amicable interactions with her neighborhood, Hwang Jung-eum resonated by saying, “I’ve been feeling the joy of living these days too.”
When Shin Dong-yup asked, “Do both your children know exactly what their mom does?”, she responded with a smile, “My eldest son seems to realize that his mom is someone who appears on television, and he seems a little proud of it.”
Chae Rim then shared a story about contacting her ex-husband after their divorce. She said, “My first priority is Min-woo, so I can temporarily set aside my pain. Min-woo said he wanted to see his dad, so I contacted my ex-husband first and asked him to come to Korea.” She added, “When he returned to China, he thanked me for raising our child well. It made me upset that I’m the only one seeing the beautiful process of our child growing up. Isn’t that a memory only I will know forever?”
In response, Hwang Jung-eum humorously commented, “I’m different. I think, ‘The child is so beautiful. I get to see this all to myself. Ha! You can’t see this.'”
However, Hwang Jung-eum added that even after the divorce, they are co-parenting. She remarked, “While I’m working on broadcast, the kids are playing soccer with their dad.”
Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married former professional golfer Lee Young-don in 2016 and has two sons. Despite a crisis four years into their marriage and a brief reconciliation, it was revealed that they were undergoing divorce mediation as of February this year. Amid this, she also sparked interest by exposing her ex-husband’s infidelity.
