Hwang Jung-eum, involved in a ‘4.3 billion embezzlement’ case, was completely edited out of the broadcast… “Despite being the MC, she was perfectly erased” (‘Because I’m Solo’)

Actor Hwang Jung-eum, who is embroiled in controversy due to embezzlement charges, has had her segments completely edited out of the show ‘Solo Rasa,’ leaving Shin Dong-yup to host alone.

On May 20th, the SBS Plus and E Channel co-produced variety show ‘Solo Rasa’ aired without any appearance from Hwang Jung-eum. ‘Solo Rasa’ is a reality variety program that observes the sincere daily lives of charming singles who find themselves feeling lonely because they’re single but also happy in their singlehood. Hwang Jung-eum was actively participating as both a host and a featured guest alongside broadcaster Shin Dong-yup.

In the episode, the audience saw actress Ye Ji-won organizing her previously messy home. Ye Ji-won mentioned, “I’m good at organizing. I’ve just been busy lately, really busy. That’s why I don’t organize as much, but if I spent more time at home, there wouldn’t be opportunities for dust to gather.”

While cleaning her home, Ye Ji-won called her mother, revealing that she is 90 years old, which surprised everyone. Ye Ji-won further shared that she was born late in her mother’s life, noting that her mother was born in 1937.

Recently, it was revealed that Hwang Jung-eum is on trial for allegedly embezzling approximately 4.3 billion won from a single-person agency she established as a family corporation. Through her current agency, Y1 Entertainment, Hwang Jung-eum has acknowledged the charges and issued an apology.

As a result of this controversy, the producers have entirely removed Hwang Jung-eum’s lines from the show. Instead, the airtime for Shin Dong-yup and Park Eun-hye has increased compared to previous episodes.

Additionally, advertisements featuring Hwang Jung-eum, which were part of the ‘High Kick Through the Roof’ series, have been completely pulled.
