During the interim injunction trial filed by Min Heejin, the CEO of Audu, against its parent company, Hive, Hive’s legal representative claimed that despite the image of Min as the “New Jin’s mom,” she made disrespectful remarks towards her close aides, unlike her image, criticizing the New Jin’s.
On the morning of the 17th, the first trial for the interim injunction lawsuit filed by Min against Hive was held in the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Both Min’s legal representative and Hive’s legal representative attended the court on that day and presented their arguments for 30 minutes each.
During the proceedings, Hive’s representative refuted Min’s claims by explaining, “The creditor (Min Heejin) is more interested in the money New Jin’s earns rather than New Jin’s itself.”
Furthermore, Hive’s representative claimed, “Min Heejin expressed disdain towards her close aides, saying it’s difficult to treat New Jin’s members as artists and that it’s disgusting but she endures the false accusations and backbiting, stating that the success of New Jin’s is not because of New Jin’s but because of herself.”
Additionally, Hive argued that Min engaged in gaslighting with the New Jin’s members to make them emotionally dependent on her. The representative pointed out, “Min demanded that the New Jin’s members stick to the scripted lines she provided even during external interviews, portraying it as a ‘mother-daughter relationship’ to maintain a gaslighting relationship where the artist remains passively controlled.”
Meanwhile, Audu is preparing for an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on the 31st to vote on a motion for Min’s dismissal. Initially, it seemed that Min’s dismissal proposal would pass according to Hive’s intentions, as Hive holds 80% of Audu’s shares. However, Min’s side filed an application for an interim injunction against Hive’s exercise of voting rights, which could potentially change the outcome of the shareholders’ meeting depending on the court’s decision.
