In the photos, Kim Dong-hyun, who is hiding his buzz cut under a hat, is seen enjoying his leave and sharing a joyful smile with acquaintances in front of a BBQ restaurant.
Previously, just before his enlistment, Kim Dong-hyun mentioned, “The name Gree supposedly doesn’t match well with my fortune-telling. I was asked if I really wanted to continue using Gree, and when I said yes, I was advised to add ‘Lee’ at the end. Isn’t that nonsense? I figured it would be better to promote as Kim Dong-hyun after discharge,” effectively announcing his retirement from being a singer by saying, “I even told the CEO that I’m closing the chapter on music and will continue as Kim Dong-hyun.”
When Yongyong asked, “Why don’t you want to pursue music anymore? What am I supposed to do?” Gree replied, “Music was just something I was interested in; keeping it as a hobby seems better. I think I’ve found something I’m more passionate about than music.” He continued, “It’s ‘Uchcha.’ I really love it. It’s what makes me happiest; I’d even stay up all night for it.”
‘Uchcha’ is a YouTube web drama channel. Gree shared proudly, “I write and direct. The views were in the hundreds, but this time, after my direction, it surpassed 2,300.”
Meanwhile, Gree is currently fulfilling his military duty by volunteering for the Marine Corps.
