[Sports Chosun Reporter Baek Ji-eun] It has been claimed that Koo Jun-yeop from Clon is entitled to reclaim a substantial sum of money from the late Xu Xiyuan’s ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei.
Taiwanese lawyer Kan Taiwei appeared on “Jin Jin Yuzi” and expressed his opinion on Xu Xiyuan’s inheritance issue. Kan stated that the heirs of the inheritance would be Koo Jun-yeop and their two children, and thus even if Xu Xiyuan’s mother declared a “war” against Wang Xiaofei, she would need Koo Jun-yeop’s approval.
Particularly, Kan mentioned that if Wang Xiaofei collects the collateral and loan repayment of 250 million Taiwan dollars (approximately 10.9 billion KRW) from Xu Xiyuan, Koo Jun-yeop and the two children would each receive one-third, which caught attention. However, since Wang Xiaofei still holds custody of the children, he is viewed as being able to control about two-thirds of Xu Xiyuan’s approximately 10 billion KRW estate.
In the midst of this, famous Taiwanese manager Chen Xiaozhi spoke out. Chen previously managed Ha Ri-soo’s Chinese-speaking region but had conflicts over distorting Ha Ri-soo’s remarks about Chinese food and spreading malicious rumors.
Taiwan’s ET Today reported, “Chen Xiaozhi exposed property disputes with Wang Xiaofei on behalf of Xu Xiyuan. Chen revealed that Wang Xiaofei took a loan under Xu Xiyuan’s name to purchase a luxury house, which he has yet to repay.”
On the 22nd, Chen also stated, “I have a habit of saving calls or messages with friends. These precious memories hold great meaning. Others do not have the right to judge emotional issues whether they are related to love, marital conflict, or divorce. Even if criticized, I want to speak out for my friends.”
Meanwhile, Koo Jun-yeop and Xu Xiyuan dated for about a year from 1998 before breaking up. Xu Xiyuan married Wang Xiaofei in 2011 and had one son and one daughter, but due to Wang Xiaofei’s infidelity and domestic violence, they divorced in 2021. Upon hearing about Xu Xiyuan’s divorce, Koo Jun-yeop contacted her using a phone number from over 20 years ago, miraculously reconnecting. The two married in 2022, but Xu Xiyuan passed away on the 2nd due to acute pneumonia while traveling in Japan.
Subsequently, Koo Jun-yeop announced that he would transfer his rights to Xu Xiyuan’s inheritance to his mother-in-law and take legal measures to protect the children’s wealth and rights.
