Influencer Hwang Hana was spotted attending a photo wall event commemorating the opening of a beauty brand exhibition, A by Bom X House of Collections, at a gallery in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. However, she is known to currently be in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where a “special travel advisory” has been issued. Hwang Hana, ex-fiancée of singer Park Yoochun, who is currently on Interpol’s red notice, is reportedly living in Cambodia amid cases of abduction and confinement targeting Koreans.
According to online community posts, Hwang Hana moved from Thailand to a luxury residential complex in Phnom Penh and has been socializing with elite Thai figures. Witnesses say she frequently parties with entertainment venue members alongside a high society figure known as “A.”
Local sources report that Hwang Hana is suspected of engaging in prostitution and drug trafficking. A source claims she encouraged prostitution between her Korean acquaintances and local men, and another suggests she is involved in money laundering for local financiers.
Amidst these allegations, there is also renewed interest in former Big Bang member Seungri, rumored to be linked to a criminal area known as “Prince’s Complex” in Cambodia. Seungri was once seen in a video at a Cambodian event, controversially declaring the country as “Asia’s best,” which has again brought him into the spotlight.
Cambodia, known for its tourist destinations like Angkor Wat, has become a hub for illegal operations such as gambling scams, and cybercrimes including kidnapping are on the rise. Between January and August 2023, there were 330 kidnapping reports involving Koreans—a 50% increase from the previous year. Many job scam victims have also surfaced, prompting the government to designate Phnom Penh as a special advisory area.
Hwang Hana first became known to the public as the former fiancée of singer and actor Park Yoochun. They broke off their engagement in 2017 following her drug allegations, which eventually led to Park Yoochun’s arrest on similar charges. Hwang Hana received a suspended sentence for drug use in 2019 but was later imprisoned for repeated offenses. In September 2023, she was caught up in an investigation alongside a nightclub figure, Mr. Kim, known for threatening the late actor Lee Sun-kyun. While under investigation, she fled to Thailand and remains at large. The police have requested Interpol red notice and local embassy assistance to apprehend Hwang Hana.
