[Sports Chosun, Reporter Baek Ji-eun] Epik High’s Tablo made a shocking confession.
In a recent video released on Epik High’s YouTube channel, Tablo stated, “Some people may not know, but when I investigated those involved in the ‘Tajinyo’ incident, even people I considered friends were involved. I just didn’t include them, but there were celebrities too.”
He continued, “It annoys me to see such people being loved by the public, but if I were to speak up or attack them, I’d become a similar kind of person, which is even more annoying. It’s best to just cut them out.”
In response, Tukutz asked Tablo to reveal their initials, but Tablo avoided a direct answer by saying, “Don’t you already know who it is?” Tukutz expressed frustration, saying, “It can’t just be one or two.”
‘Tajinyo’ is an abbreviation for “We Demand the Truth from Tablo,” a message board established in 2010 that falsely accused Tablo of faking his academic credentials. Tajinyo members conducted a witch hunt, claiming Tablo was lying about graduating from the prestigious Stanford University in the United States. Despite Stanford affirming that Tablo officially graduated and the courts confirming this, Tajinyo continued to attack Tablo and his family. Tablo eventually sued Tajinyo, and in 2012, real jail sentences were handed down to nine major members, including the leader, “Whatbecomes.” Although the Tajinyo message board was shut down, the incident led to Tablo temporarily halting activities, and he suffered the tragedy of losing his father, who had battled liver cancer.
Netizens showed support, commenting, “The comment about it not being just one or two is really something…”, “I’m sometimes amazed by how right-thinking they are,” and “Their life stories are truly insightful.”
