[OSEN=Jang Woo-young] Actor Daniel Henney expressed his gratitude and longing for his pet dog Roscoe.
In the second episode of JTBC4’s ‘Do Whatever You Want, Roscoe’ aired on the 7th, Daniel Henney was shown reflecting on his precious time with his pet Roscoe, who was diagnosed with T-Zone lymphoma.
A month after completing their road trip, Daniel Henney made an important decision for Roscoe, whose condition had greatly improved. Roscoe was a pet that was rescued from a dog farm after unexpectedly parting ways with his previous owner and was adopted by Daniel Henney. He thought it was the right thing to let Roscoe say goodbye to someone who had been a part of his life, allowing Roscoe to meet his former owner and resolve any lingering emotions.
Two and a half years passed since the filming, and in an additional interview, Daniel Henney conveyed to the production crew that Roscoe had crossed the rainbow bridge. Throughout that time, Roscoe bravely fought his illness and stayed by his side, and Daniel Henney expressed his gratitude for the unexpectedly beautiful time they had together. Despite this, he expressed his regret for not being able to be by Roscoe’s side during his last moments due to a sudden worsening of Roscoe’s condition amidst his schedule. He reminisced about their farewell via video call, shedding tears of longing.
Daniel Henney’s directorial debut, ‘Do Whatever You Want, Roscoe’ (co-directed by Kim Sun-hyeong), is a documentary that depicts everyday life with pets with genuine affection. Daniel Henney said, “I am really glad that this documentary is being released to the world. I hope Roscoe’s story will provide even a little help to those who are fighting their pet’s illness.” His sincere care for pets left a deep impression and moved the viewers. ‘Do Whatever You Want, Roscoe’ not only serves as a simple documentary but also highlights the preciousness of life with pets, reminding us of the true meaning of becoming a family with them.
