Taiwanese star Wang Dae-ryuk’s criminal activities continue to surface.
According to local media such as Taiwan’s Yiping News on the 9th (local time), “Wang Dae-ryuk hired a gangster to retrieve money from his girlfriend, Moo Xuan, a former broadcaster.”
According to reports, Moo Xuan was a victim of an investment fraud worth 4 million Taiwanese dollars (approximately 176.64 million KRW). She won the lawsuit, but the perpetrator was jailed without returning the money.
Consequently, Wang Dae-ryuk asked Xiao Ajun, the leader of the Four Seas gang, to collect the money owed to his girlfriend. Xiao Ajun bribed a prison employee to deliver a debt collection message to the perpetrator’s family. Initially, the perpetrator denied the claims, but upon receiving a warning message, they provided the family’s personal information. Xiao Ajun demanded repayment from the family, but they claimed they could not pay any more due to already having covered much of the perpetrator’s debts.
Xiao Ajun and Wang Dae-ryuk met through an ‘attempted murder’ incident. In April of last year, Wang had a dispute with an Uber driver due to dissatisfaction with the driving and asked his wealthy friend to obtain the driver’s personal information. After identifying the driver for 30,000 yuan, Wang sent three men through Xiao Ajun to assault the driver and Uber company officials.
This incident was uncovered during the prosecution’s investigation into Wang Dae-ryuk’s military service evasion case. Wang was arrested for allegedly evading military service with a fake medical certificate indicating heart disease. The prosecution seized his phone, and during the investigation, they discovered a video of the assault on the driver and leaked prison documents.
As a result, the prosecution plans to expand the investigation, suspecting that the prison administrator was involved with organized crime to leak personal information.
Wang Dae-ryuk gained popularity through works like ‘Playful Kiss’ and is known as a friend of former Big Bang member Seungri. Seungri was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison for nine charges, including arranging prostitution, habitual gambling, violation of foreign exchange and food hygiene laws, embezzlement, and special assault instruction related to the Burning Sun scandal. However, Seungri recently continued to meet with foreign investors and socialize with women in restaurants around Gangnam and Songpa Districts, showing no signs of remorse.
Many are frowning upon the similar criminal trajectories of these two friends.
