[OSEN=By Jang Woo-young] Choi Min-hwan’s eldest son Jae-yul won a gold medal at the ‘Speed Kicking’ competition, showcasing the fruits of his efforts and moving viewers with his touching performance.
On the 531st episode of KBS2’s ‘The Return of Superman’ aired on the 23rd, Choi Min-hwan’s 7-year-old son Jae-yul achieved remarkable results at the ‘Speed Kicking’ competition, securing a gold medal. Moreover, Jayden and Jun-beom’s family, including their grandmother, went on a filial duty trip to Namisum, where Jun-beom’s noticeably improved language skills brought joy to everyone.
Prior to the competition, Jae-yul lightly succeeded in jump roping, cross jumping, push-ups, and windmill spinning, thoroughly preparing himself. However, as the match approached, Jae-yul became increasingly nervous and couldn’t even drink water due to tension. In response, his father Choi Min-hwan encouraged him with warm words, saying, “Just do as you practiced.” Meanwhile, Jae-yul’s twin siblings, Ayun and Arin, sincerely cheered for their brother’s gold medal achievement, expressing their pride. Meanwhile, Ayun and Arin unexpectedly participated in the ‘Speed Kicking’ event, kicking like blue-toothed pastries, impressing the online aunt with their gleaming kicks. Although Ayun and Arin fiercely kicked the meat with determined expressions, their short legs didn’t reach the kicking sensor, resulting in a score of 0 points. Nevertheless, Ayun and Arin did their best until the end, with Ayun finally scoring 1 point, bringing a smile to Choi Min-hwan’s face.
Subsequently, Jae-yul boldly entered the match, shouting, “My goal is 120!” He kicked the meat rapidly from the beginning, recording a total of 118 kicks after a fierce battle with his friend, eventually winning the gold medal. After his effort paid off with the gold medal, Jae-yul expressed his affection to his two younger siblings, saying, “I won first place because of your support.” Impressed by witnessing Jae-yul’s training process, Ahn Yeong-mi shed tears, and Choi Min-hwan remarked, “I was more touched than receiving an award. The three siblings enjoying the process rather than focusing on the results was beautiful.”
Meanwhile, Jayden and Jun-beom embarked on a trip to Namisum in celebration of their grandmother’s birthday. Particularly, Jun-beom bravely crossed a shaky bridge, exuding courage like General Beomjanggun as he shouted, “Go! Go!” Upon Jayden’s admiration of his bravery, Jun-beom, with a revealing smile, said, “It’s me! Do it again. Do it again,” showcasing his bravery. Enjoying an ice cream, Jun-beom surprised Jayden and their grandmother by saying, “Arc Juah,” and showered them with affectionate charms by calling the grandmother ‘halmi.’ Glancing affectionately at Jun-beom, Choi Ji-woo expressed her desire to visit Namisum with her 4-year-old daughter, revealing her love for her daughter.
That day, Jun-beom notably demonstrated significant growth in front of his grandmother. Upon seeing a toy car, Jun-beom exclaimed, “Vroom~,” accurately identifying colors by saying, “Chorok (green), Ju-hwang (orange),” and successfully naming his dad Jayden and mom Hong Hyun-hee, enhancing the sentimental atmosphere. While eating, Jun-beom expressed himself like a doctor by saying, “I’m full. Please give me more lotus roots,” following it up with a cheerful, “Happy birthday to Grandma,” making her grin broadly. The grandmother remarked, “Coming here with my son and grandson has been an unforgettable trip.” Subsequently, Choi Ji-woo shared, “My mother values her grandson, but my son is her top priority,” later revealing, “When my mother sees me taking care of my child, she becomes emotional,” empathizing with the mother’s love for her child and moistening her eyes.
