The release of their KakaoTalk messages and recordings has caused a public stir. Choi Dong-seok has alleged “emotional infidelity,” while Park Ji-yoon has countered with accusations of “paranoid jealousy.”
In light of these events, past remarks made by Park Ji-yoon have gained attention. In August 2015, she appeared on MBC’s “Radio Star,” where she talked about Choi Dong-seok’s affection for her. She described how he would watch her programs alone, laugh, and post her articles on his SNS, adding hashtags like “LoveJiYoon,” keeping an eye on her every move. Moreover, during a November 2015 episode of KBS2’s “Hello Counselor,” Park remarked, “When I go on trips for work, he becomes ill until I return,” suggesting his deep attachment.
Recent revelations from a leaked recording were shocking to the public as it included discussions of “marital rape.” Park accused Choi of attempted rape, to which Choi responded defensively.
As the controversy grew, Choi Dong-seok stepped down from the TV Chosun program “Now Alone.” His agency announced the exit on October 18th.
