Actor Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung’s entertainment agency, Artist Company, released New Year greetings from their affiliated actors as they celebrated the start of 2025. On January 1st, Artist Company posted on their official SNS, “As we move past the tumultuous year of 2024, the Year of the Blue Sheep dawns. We hope your new year is filled with happiness, health, and well-being.”
In their post, Artist Company tagged actors including Lee Jung-jae, Jung Woo-sung, Yum Jung-ah, Park Hae-jin, Kim Jong-soo, Park So-dam, Lim Ji-yeon, Shin Jung-geun, Park Hoon, Kim Joon-han, Won Jin-ah, Pyo Ji-hoon, Kim Hye-yoon, Jo Yi-hyun, Cha Rae-hyung, Yoo Jung-hoo, and Choi Kyung-hoon, and shared handwritten New Year messages from the actors.
Lim Ji-yeon, who previously defended Jung Woo-sung, stated, “A challenging year has come to an end, and a new one begins. Time really has flown by. I hope you accomplish everything you wish to do and want in the new year. Happy New Year!”
Jung Woo-sung made his first official appearance at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards on November 29th last year, following controversies over an alleged extramarital child. Lim Ji-yeon, present in the audience, applauded and cheered for him, which sparked a second wave of controversy. Some netizens criticized Jung Woo-sung for addressing personal controversies at the awards, questioning if fulfilling his responsibilities as a father was worthy of applause and praise, and they also criticized Lim Ji-yeon’s actions.
Bae Sung-woo, who returned from a period of self-reflection after being caught driving under the influence, also extended New Year greetings, saying, “Hello, this is Bae Sung-woo. Wishing you a very, very, very Happy New Year!”
In November 2020, Bae Sung-woo was caught driving drunk in Gangnam, Seoul, after a drinking session with acquaintances. His blood alcohol level exceeded 0.08%, enough for license revocation. Consequently, in December of the same year, Bae was forced to leave his role in the SBS drama “Delayed Justice,” which was filled by Jung Woo-sung, who is part of the same agency. In February 2021, Judge Choi Ji-kyung of the Seoul Central District Court fined Bae Sung-woo 7 million won for the drunk driving offense.
