Chae Rim’s ex-husband, Gao Ziqi, came to Korea for their son’s birthday… Overflowing ‘Father-Son Date’

[Sports Chosun Reporter Jo Yoon-seon] Chinese actor Gao Ziqi, who is the ex-husband of actress Chae Rim, has shared photos of a joyful birthday outing with their son Minwoo.

On the 1st, Gao Ziqi posted several photos with the caption, “Happy New Year! Let’s move forward together.”

The photos were taken during his visit to Korea last December for Minwoo’s birthday, capturing a happy father-son moment. In one photo, Gao Ziqi is seen playfully pointing to Minwoo’s cheek with his finger. Minwoo’s adorable expression, as he tries to dodge his father’s playful antics but can’t help bursting into laughter, is heartwarming.

Another photo shows them in front of a Christmas tree, with Gao Ziqi capturing the moment of his son striking a pose. Additionally, Gao Ziqi shared a picture of Minwoo skating, expressing his affection for his son.

Meanwhile, Chae Rim and Gao Ziqi married in 2014 and had a son, Minwoo, but they divorced in 2020. Chae Rim, who currently lives in Jeju Island, is raising Minwoo by herself and had her life as a single mom featured on SBS PLUS’s ‘Solo Rasa,’ which became a hot topic.

In a broadcast last November, Chae Rim revealed that her ex-husband, Gao Ziqi, and Minwoo reunited after seven years.

Chae Rim stated, “It was the first meeting since the separation. Since Minwoo is the top priority, any pain should be set aside temporarily and forgotten. For me, it’s an ended relationship, but the father cannot be an ended relationship for the child. When Minwoo expressed his wish to see his father, I suggested inviting him, and that’s how it happened.”

Regarding Gao Ziqi’s reaction, she shared, “When parting, he thanked me. He expressed gratitude for raising him so well. What upset me was that I was the only one who saw the beautiful moments of the child growing up, and that saddened me.”

After the broadcast, Gao Ziqi commented, “I am truly grateful for the attention towards my son. I watched the video (broadcast) too, and it was delightful and moving.”
