BTS member Suga has announced a donation of 5 billion KRW (approximately 3.8 million USD) just two days after being discharged from his alternative military service. According to Severance Hospital on the 23rd, Suga and the hospital will establish the “Min Yoongi Treatment Center,” which is dedicated to supporting the treatment and social independence of patients with autism spectrum disorder. Suga donated this large sum for the cause.
This news comes shortly after Suga’s discharge from his role as a social service worker, having completed his duties on the 21st, drawing considerable attention. Although public opinion turned cold last summer when he was caught operating an electric scooter under the influence, Suga not only expressed repeated apologies and reflections upon his discharge but also surprised many by revealing that he had been meticulously preparing for this charitable project.
