BTS’s Jungkook ranks as the most streamed K-pop solo artist on Spotify for three consecutive years.

BTS’s Jungkook has once again showcased his global popularity by ranking as the most-streamed K-pop solo artist on Spotify for three consecutive years. According to “chart data,” Jungkook achieved a total of 3.745 billion streams on Spotify in 2024. This is the highest number of accumulated streams for a K-pop solo artist in Spotify’s history within a year and for 2024.

Jungkook’s first solo album “GOLDEN” surpassed 4.7 billion streams (unfiltered) on Spotify, marking the fastest record for an Asian solo artist’s album and a studio album by an Asian artist. His solo single “Seven,” released in July 2023, set unprecedented streaming records on Spotify as the fastest track to reach 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and 1.1 billion streams, and became the first Asian artist to achieve 2.1 billion streams.

Jungkook has two solo tracks, “Seven” and “Standing Next to You,” included in Spotify’s “Top Tracks of 2024 Global” list, making him the first Asian solo artist to have multiple songs ranked simultaneously in the annual global year-end list. His solo tracks “Seven,” “3D,” and “Standing Next to You” all reached No. 1 on Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global,” continuing his impressive record-breaking streak.

With songs like “Dreamers,” “Left and Right,” and “Stay Alive,” Jungkook became the fastest K-pop solo artist to surpass 1 billion streams (unfiltered), and “Seven” achieved 1 billion streams in the shortest time in Spotify’s history. He also set four world records officially recognized by the UK’s “Guinness World Records” with the most weekly streams and the fastest 1 billion streams for a male artist’s track on Spotify’s global chart, solidifying his reputation as a “record-breaking machine.”
