BTS Jin, Struggling Amid Controversy with Suga… Climbs Mt. Halla for 7 Hours after Discharge “For ARMY” [Comprehensive]

BTS Suga has been embroiled in controversy over drunk driving on a scooter and repeated false explanations, while the eldest member, Jin, who has been discharged as a special forces soldier, is attracting attention for his struggles.

On the night of the 13th, a video titled ‘[Run, Seokjin] EP.1 | It’s been 5 days since my discharge, let’s go to Mt. Halla’ was released on Channel Bangtan TV.

Waking up in a hotel in Jeju early in the morning, Jin prepared for climbing Mt. Halla in hiking gear.

Jin exclaimed, “It’s been 5 days since my discharge, and I’m going to Mt. Halla. This is not just for fun, but a determination. I plan to bring out many fun contents in the future. This episode has a feeling of ‘beautiful is the one who challenges.’ I will try my best to climb. Fighting,” and set off for Mt. Halla. The distance was more than 9km, and the estimated round trip time was 9 hours.

Jin joked, “The original concept of the channel was once we start, we go all the way. If you hit a tennis ball once, you hit 1000, and if you climb a mountain, you complete the climb. But from the first episode, I just climbed Mt. Halla.”

Although Jin, who complained about being tired after climbing just 100m, challenged quizzes by calling Baek Jong-won during a phone call with an iced Americano at the first rest area. He also took on a mission to receive ‘Congratulations on your discharge’ greetings and while climbing, he expressed, “It’s so difficult to approach people in a friendly way,” struggling with his mission as an introverted person.

Finally, after 4 hours and 20 minutes, Jin reached the summit where he could see Baekrokdam, exclaiming with emotion, “I saw Baekrokdam just 5 days after my discharge. Wow, I made it.” It was a time for him to refine himself after starting a new activity post-discharge.

During the descent, Jin showed off his Special Forces stamina. When the camera crew could not keep up, Jin waited for the staff halfway down the mountain.

After descending with tired legs, Jin recommended, “If you want to experience a turning point in your life, try challenging mountain climbing as a hobby,” and joked, “I recommend this course to Jungkook. I’m not going with him.”

Jin, who successfully completed the mission and enjoyed eating the mulhoe he wanted, expressed, “It’s so good. I’m happy. Happiness is not far away,” and requested expectations for the continuation of ‘Run, Seokjin’ after Mt. Halla climbing.

Meanwhile, Jin, the only BTS member to have discharged, will start his self-entertainment series ‘Run, Seokjin’ on the official BTS YouTube channel. ‘Run, Seokjin’ is Jin’s solo entertainment show where he challenges various fields with the mindset of ‘I can do anything’ to respond to the love of ARMY (fandom).
