Actor and voice actor Jang Mi-ja has become a star in the sky at the age of 84. According to the Korea Broadcasting Actors Union on the 27th, Jang Mi-ja passed away that morning due to an illness. Her husband, fellow voice actor and actor Park Woong, and their two sons, including the actor Park Joon, have begun receiving condolences while keeping vigil at the memorial amidst their grief.
Born in 1941, Jang Mi-ja began her acting career as a theater actress in 1959. She officially debuted as a voice actor in 1963 as part of the first open recruitment at Dong-A Broadcasting (later integrated into the 6th open recruitment at KBS, Korean Broadcasting System). From 1969, she took to the musical stage, and in 1981, she started her film career with the movie “Ban Geum-ryun.”
