‘폭싹 속았수다’ is also suffering from unauthorized viewing in China… Seo Kyung-duk: “It’s astonishing that they feel no shame.”

[Sports Chosun Online, Reporter Lee Woo-ju] The Netflix series “Fully Fooled,” which has attracted significant interest from viewers worldwide, is once again suffering from illegal viewership in China.

On Douban, a Chinese content review site, a review page for “Fully Fooled” has been created, and currently, there are about 30,000 reviews posted. Currently, Netflix does not officially offer its service in China.

Regarding this, Kyungduk Seo, a professor at Sungshin Women’s University, pointed out, “Just like when ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 was released, ‘pirate viewing’ has become a routine thing in China.” In particular, Professor Seo criticized, “It’s astonishing that they feel no shame about these actions.”

Until now, there has been significant controversy in China over the unpermitted use of the likenesses of Korean Wave stars appearing in K-content, as well as the creation and sale of counterfeit products for financial gain.

Recently, “Fully Fooled” has climbed to the TOP 10 list in 41 countries, including South Korea, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Turkey, the Philippines, and Vietnam, gaining significant popularity both domestically and internationally.

Professor Seo remarked, “Instead of making baseless claims that ‘Korea stole Chinese culture,’ Chinese netizens should first develop a sense of respect for the content of other countries.”
