[Sports Chosun Reporter Baek Ji-eun] Kangnam has caused a major incident.
On the 4th, Kangnam apologized, saying, “I promised to upload the video on the 11th, but I couldn’t keep it,” and kneeled down. He admitted, “It’s 100% my fault. As we are about to reach one million followers, I became arrogant,” and expressed his apology.
He further explained, “I wanted to host a broadcast with a concept parodied as a Japanese delinquent version of ‘Diva Village Queen Gabi.’ I lost patience when I was told preparation was needed, and I tried to do it alone with some acquaintances, but it didn’t work out. When asked ‘Why did you come?’ I ad-libbed ‘Mom and Dad fought. Mom ran away to Korea,’ and it ended up making no sense. Editing couldn’t fix it; I learned that if I go too enthusiastically, it ends in disaster.”
After issuing another apology, Kangnam shared some good news as well.
With the positive response to ‘Manchang-ga,’ the release of Kangnam’s solo track has been decided. The production team said, “The guest appearances received rave reviews. The reaction to Kangnam’s voice is very positive,” and Kangnam added, “A famous producer approached me. There are plans to release music. The track is finished, and I’m writing the lyrics.”
Additionally, he shared his plans for activities in Japan, revealing that he signed a contract with one of Japan’s top three agencies, which surprised many.
Kangnam married former national athlete Lee Sang-hwa in 2019.
