Baek Jong-won’s food service company, The Born Korea, has initiated a comprehensive overhaul of its organizational culture and operational system in response to recent controversies surrounding employee conduct and hygiene issues. On the 15th, The Born Korea released an official statement expressing a heavy sense of responsibility for the series of incidents and announced efforts to fundamentally restructure its internal systems and external practices.
The company emphasized its commitment to regaining customer trust through rigorous organizational and operational innovations. A new dedicated audit and risk management team will be established under CEO Baek Jong-won to strengthen internal activity inspections. A newly formed public relations team will be responsible for external communication, revamping its external communication systems.
The Born Korea will also work on improving its organizational culture by expanding employee training and implementing programs to strengthen a sense of responsibility. The company stated, “Beyond apologies and explanations, we will pursue substantial innovations to fulfill our responsibilities as a publicly listed company and restore trust,” and pledged to thoroughly address and improve on all issues raised.
